In the period 1-3 April 2009 there will be the 5th International specialised conference on sustainable viticulture in the cities of Trento and Verona in Italy with the title : winery waste and ecological impacts management.

Wine industry has a benefit in recent years in the market of agro-food, but this activity is linked to the production of large amounts of polluted effluents, both liquid and solid, which have to be properly managed to prevent environmental problems and to preserve resources.



The conference will cover topics directly related to the effluent treatment as well as sustainable viticulture, with emphasis on the rational use of water.

After the appointments in France ( in 1994 and in 1998) and those in Spain ( 2004 ) and Chile 2006, 2009 is the Italian turn for this event, organised by the Universities of Verona and Trento.
