Organised by Capri in the World Institute, the Festival represents all years, from 27 to 31 of December, an  high-ranking event for Capri.

The Capri Hollywood Film Festival with its great selection of films has always attracted the biggest stars, directors and producers in Hollywood. This year Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman will open the 8th edition and there is a big expect for Quentin Tarantino and his producer Bender.

Previous participants include Oscar-winning actors Vanessa Redgrave, Faye Dunaway, F Murray Abraham, Mira Sorvino and Geoffrey Rush, and directors Anthony Minghella, Michael Cimino, Marleen Gorris and Danis Tanovic.

With a two-week series of processions, masquerades, traditional ceremonies, music and all-round festivities among the canals, from 13 to 24 February will be celebrated the most important carnival of Italy in Venice.

The carnival, with its attendant mask tradition, has existed in some form or another since the 13th century. The masks themselves, the traditional bauto (hood and cape), tabarro (cloak) and tricorn hat, were conferred complete anonymity on their wearers.

Every year the event is inspired by a new theme, which in 2009 is “Sensation“. This theme invites visitors to discover and taste the city and its six districts.
The whole city is filled with revellers from all over the world so musical, theatrical, acrobatic and dance performances will be show all days in the picturesque streets.
